Supreme court Chief Justice TY Chandra Chute, who attended the function as a special guest, said: IIT chennai has been providing excellent contribution in various aspects like education, research and technology for the past 64 years. Many feel that the legal profession cannot keep up with the pace of today's modern technology.
But our history is a proof that law and technology have helped each other in development. I pose two questions to the students. What are the ratings of your technology? What do you have to lose? It should be remembered that
Technology does not exist in the vacuum of this society. It can affect our law and economy. Your invention may also be taken up for discussion one day. Therefore, they need to be sure of what kind of impact their research will have and define its scope.
Also, your invention should be for human benefit when it is used in this society. Every scientific discovery has the potential to affect individuals. Cyberbullying is now taking place on social media which was created to bring people together.
This implies that technology and laws must work hand in hand. Law will step in and protect individuals when new technologies cannot be prevented from being misused. The current artificial intelligence technology has also started to be used in various fields.
We are going to use artificial intelligence technology in some tasks in the supreme court as well. At the same time, care must be taken not to turn this artificial intelligence against humans. Because artificial intelligence can make mistakes like creating fake photos.
Therefore, it is necessary for us to define it. Modern technologies should reach and benefit the poor. Also, science and technology will play an important role in the development of human society in the future. Thus he spoke.
