Indian woman Anju marries Facebook friend in Pakistan - Converts to Islam

In a shocking turn of events, Anju, an indian lady who had lawfully entered the khyber pakhtunkhwa area of Pakistan, converted to islam and wed Nasrullah, her Pakistani boyfriend. She changed her name to Fatima after becoming a Muslim. The article said that the couple's union was formally constituted at a nikah ceremony held at the Upper Dir district courts. A video of Anju and Nasrullah touring beautiful mountainous areas in the area while holding hands is being extensively circulated on social media.

The nikkah of Anju (35) and Nasrullah (29) was certified by Malakand Division Deputy Inspector General Nasir mehmood Satti, who also said that the woman adopted the name Fatima after converting to Islam. According to the police, the pair came before the district court in Dir bala in front of Nasrullah's relatives, law enforcement officers, and attorneys. The woman was taken by police from court to her new in-law's house for security concerns.

Anju, now known as Fatima, had earlier stated that she had no intention of wed Nasrullah and will return to india on august 20 when her visa ends. Even Nasrullah denied rumours that they were having an affair, telling the news agency PTI on monday that he had no intention to wed Anju. In 2019, Nasrulla and Anju become friends on Facebook. We don't have any plans to be married, and Anju is visiting Pakistan," Nasrulla told PTI over the phone from the village of Kulsho in the area, which is some 300 kilometres from Peshawar. After her visa expires on august 20, she will return to her own country. Anju and the other female family members reside in a different room of his house, he had said.
