About 100 patients had to be evacuated as a precaution when a large fire broke out at a hospital in ahmedabad on Sunday. When a fire started in the basement of rajasthan Hospitals in Shahibaug, ahmedabad, fire trucks were dispatched right away. There are now firefighting efforts continuing, and no reported injuries of date.

Teams of firefighters are battling the blaze. The hospital's basement, where the fire started, is still emitting smoke, according to police inspector MD Champavat. As a precaution, "nearly 100 patients have been evacuated from the multi-story building," he continued. It was yet unknown what started the fire. A benevolent trust manages the hospital.

Smoke has spread to the hospital's higher floors and is still coming out of the hospital's basement. The fire was so large that the smoke could be seen from a distance. Up to 100 patients were taken into the hospital, and they have since been transferred to other hospitals in the neighbourhood. At around 4:30 am, a fire broke out in the basement of the rajasthan Hospital in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad. 

To put out the fire, as many as 31 fire fighters arrived on the scene. There are now firefighting efforts continuing, and no reported injuries of date. It was yet unknown what started the fire.
