King of Kotha Review - A Predictable Massy Action Entertainer
King Of Kotha show kicked off in the town of Kotha, with a brief historical background about the criminal town. And the story has all the routine ingredients necessary for a gangster drama flick. Dulquer salman has done a massy avatar after a long time. His wag and epic dialogue delivery has been a huge strength. However, some haywire writing and content with layered characters and a very lengthy running time make this a bummer.
Nevertheless, the movie has the right mix of action and story. The biggest strength of this movie is even though it is story-driven, the makers have tried to make this commercially viable with some spine-chilling fight sequences, big dance numbers, punch, and edgy dialogues. This should be one of the biggest successes in Dulquer's career.
Although it moves quite slowly, the mafia thriller king of Kotha is technically excellently filmed. An average impression is created by several strands that lead to expected conclusions. Ironically, even the second half also follows the same pattern. Technically sound, king of Kotha has excellent BGM, aesthetics, and other features. The story's major plot points, nevertheless, fall flat and provide no genuine shocks given the genre. The duration is a major letdown, but it is still good food.
