Jailer vs. RCB - Must-Remove Scene...?
Following the IPL team's lawsuit, the court ordered the makers of Rajinikanth's "Jailer" to cut the scene in which the killer is wearing a royal challengers Bangalore jersey. The film "Jailer," starring Rajinikanth, has now found itself in legal hot water despite its enormous box office success. After receiving a directive from the delhi High court, the film's creators reportedly agreed to change the scene in which a contract killer is seen sporting a royal challengers Bangalore jersey. The scene depicts a contract killer speaking disparagingly and sexist remarks about a female character while sporting an RCB jersey. According to reports, the counsel for RCB argued in the delhi High court that the use of its jersey was made without its consent and could harm the brand's equity, reputation, and sponsor rights. In accordance with the court's orders, both parties agreed to settle the dispute outside of court by digitally altering the relevant scene and making the necessary adjustments to the theatrical version by september 1. Along with Rajinikanth, ramya krishnan, yogi Babu, and tamannaah bhatia play significant roles in Nelson Dilipkumar's film "Jailer." The movie opened in theatres on august 10 and has already raked in more than Rs 607 crore worldwide. It is currently 2023's second-highest-grossing indian movie.
