Ganesh Temple adorned with currency worth Rs 3cr!!!
On Monday, the state celebrated Ganesha Chaturthi with fervour as people flocked to the temples and lavishly erected idols. Nearly three crore rupees' worth of coins and currency notes have been used to decorate a temple in Bengaluru. The Sri Sathya Ganapathy temple in Bengaluru's JP nagar is renowned for its distinctive style of interior decoration during the annual Ganesh Puja celebrations. This time, they used hundreds of coins and currency notes with denominations ranging from 10, 20, 50, and 500 to decorate the temple. Coins and currency worth 2.18 crore rupees and 70 lakh rupees were used to decorate the temple.The elaborate decoration took a month to meticulously complete by a team of 150 people, who also made sure it had CCTV surveillance and other security features. One of the Trust's trustees, Mohan Raju, expressed his happiness at the enthusiastic response this unusual display has received. "Every year, we have a special Ganesha Chaturthi celebration. We also gave the temple a unique makeover last year. This time, we made garlands and ornaments for Lord Ganesha out of various indian banknotes and decorated the entire temple with them. They are all genuine banknotes. Since the morning, devotees have been arriving for darshan, he said.The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has positioned nearly 418 mobile tankers for the immersion of Ganesha idols in order to ensure a smooth ganesh chaturthi celebration throughout the state capital. 39 additional kalyanis near lake beds are prepared to receive idols. Additionally, 63 single-window clearance stations have been set up by the civic body to receive and approve requests for Ganesha pandals.
