The 2015 release premam has the honor of turning all indian cinema fans back to malayalam cinema. This movie is directed by director Alphonse Putran. Today, a post that he posted on his social media page saying that he is quitting cinema has caused a huge shock to his fans. Alphonse Putran made his directorial debut with Nivin Pauly and Nazriya's co-starrer Premam. He impressed the fans to a great extent in that film itself. He introduced three young heroines namely Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parameswaran, and madonna sebastian through his film premam and got a lot of responses from indian fans with this film.
Son of Alphonse Putraan, who retired from cinema, and stayed away from cinema for almost six years, directed the Nayanthara-starrer gold in 2022. This film did not help him much. Today, on his social media page, he posted a shocking message saying that he doesn't want to be a burden to anyone and that he is quitting cinema. In the post, he says that he has an autism spectrum disorder and that he found out about it yesterday. He also posted that he doesn't want to give an oath to something he can't do. He had posted that he does not want to leave cinema, he will do something on OTT platforms like videos, and songs, and he doesn't want to be a burden to anyone. He deleted the post from his social media page within a few hours. When Alphonse Putran returned to the cinema after six years, his physical appearance shocked the fans. His fans used to comment that maybe he was like that because of this disease.
However, the fact that he immediately deleted the post has raised doubts for everyone. Alphonse Putran had recently directed the film gift starring sandy and Kowai Sarala. The film was announced to be released by the end of this year.
