Ayodhya's Guinness record for welcoming Rama..!?
The city of ayodhya set a record by lighting lamps on Diwali. A new Guinness World Record was held this year on diwali, a day celebrated in northern india to welcome Lord Rama home after his exile. A new Guinness World Record has been set for lighting more than 22.23 lakh lamps at the ram Ki Baidi in ayodhya, the holy city of Lord Rama. The holy city of Lord Rama has created a Guinness record again this year. This year, the city of ayodhya broke its own Guinness record of lighting 15.76 lakh lamps last year. Crowds of people gathered to celebrate diwali at ram Ki Baidi last night. In the evening diwali was celebrated by bursting firecrackers. After that, a light and sound show was organized. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and culture minister Jayveer Singh flagged off Shoba Yatra, an important part of ayodhya Deepothsavam. 18 decorative parades with themes of various social issues including Ramayana and stories of Lord Rama were conducted.
Ayodhya sets new Guinness world record:
In this procession, folk artists participated and performed artistic performances. Along with the 'Aratis', the procession starts from Udaya Square and ends at ram Katha Park through various parts of the city.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi adityanath and governor Anandiben patel attended the event. After 14 years of exile, a decorated chariot is drawn depicting the return of Lord Rama, his wife Sita, and brother Lakshmana to ayodhya on the Pushpaka Vimana. diwali celebrations started auspiciously with flowers showered from helicopters. Uttar Pradesh governor anandi Ben patel, chief minister yogi adityanath, Ministers Jayveer Singh, Rakesh Sachan, Chief Secretary Durga shankar Mishra and many others participated in the deepa Aarti program. chief minister Adityanath also performed the symbolic coronation of Sri Ram.
Last year (2022) on the eve of diwali, more than 17 lakh Akal lamps were lit across the steps of ram Ki Baidi on the banks of the sarayu River, but the Guinness Book of World Records took into account only earthen lamps lit for five minutes or more and recorded the record at 15.76 lakh.
Prime minister Narendra Modi attended the Dibatsava held last october as a special guest. This year's diwali festival will be special as the construction of the ram temple in ayodhya is in full swing.
