Telangana has also managed to significantly reduce the scourge of rural unemployment. While 65 out of every 1,000 people in rural telangana were unemployed in 2017-18, this figure is expected to fall to 28 by 2022-23. Rural unemployment in andhra pradesh reduced from 36 to 33 per 1,000 people during the same time period. Unemployment in Telangana's urban regions fell from 94 to 78 per 1,000 people, whereas it stayed nearly unchanged in Andhra Pradesh.
