Telangana Elections - Know how to cast vote, what documents you need
State assembly Elections 2023 have been notified by the election commission for five states throughout the country: Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana. Four states have completed their elections, with Telangana's assembly Election set on november 30. Before you go to vote, here's how to check your polling place and what documentation you'll need.
How to find a polling booth
• Visit the official website of the election commission of india (https://eci.gov.in/).
• Click on the ‘Know your polling station and officer’ link, enter your EPIC Number, and fill in the CAPTCHA code to find your polling officers and booth.
• EPIC (Electoral Photo Identity Card) Number can be found on the voters.eci.gov.in website by providing personal details like name, gender, date of birth, assembly constituency, and district.

How to cast your vote
Visit the polling place: Go to your allotted polling place during the voting hours. On the scheduled polling day, voting stations are typically open from early morning until late evening.
Verification and voting: When you arrive at the polling station, form a queue and submit your identification to the polling authorities. To prevent duplicate voting, they will check your identification against the voter list and stamp your finger with permanent ink. On the voters' register (Form 17A), your signature or thumb impression will be required.
Voting: Go to the electronic voting machine (EVM) and cast your ballot. Follow the polling officer's instructions and vote in secret by hitting the button on the EVM for your preferred candidate.
