Cyclone Michaung - 2 Dead in Chennai, Flights Cancelled
Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) were stationed throughout the city. The NDRF troops rescued around 15 persons from the tambaram neighbourhood near Peerkankaranai and Perungalathur who were trapped owing to severe waterlogging caused by the city's heavy rain.
Bridge No.14 between Basin Bridge and Vyasarpadi has been halted for safety concerns due to water running beyond the danger threshold.
