Salaar - Sorry, But KGF Magic is completely missing here Neel

G GOWTHAM
Salaar will be released in less than 9 days. The product's scale and canvas are as promised, but the promotional material is, to say the least, off. Today, the creators released a new song, and it is not what one would anticipate from a huge potboiler like Salaar. The song has a melancholy tone to it with no hook-point. In the case of kgf 1 and 2, the hook song was quite popular. While listening, it immediately provided a high. Songs like Dheera Dheera, Evadiki Evadu Banisa, Sulthaan, and others dominated popular playlists at the time. kgf duology has a lot of goosebumps-inducing tracks and hook BGM.

However, Salaar's song may be mistaken for an art cinema tune. The mellowed sounds and orchestration may fit in the storyline of the whole film, but releasing it before the theatrical release has added to the film's already drab feel. If necessary, prashanth neel might have commissioned a theme song similar to 'Monster' from kgf 2 for promotional purposes, noting that it would not be used in the film and that it is only a theme song. Instead of this uninteresting tune, it may have injected some urgency.

Salaar is intended to have a booming and larger-than-life sound, however both of these elements were noticeably absent from the trailer and this new song. It's one thing to downplay the hype. However, Neel's failure to take good care of whatever promotional content is released is not what Prabhas' followers anticipated from him. The only chance now is for Neel and prabhas to provide that crucial 'high' in the theatrical print. Enough of this drab atmosphere.
