Parliament security breach: color-bombing was done on shoes...

Investigators said on thursday that the serious breach of parliament that startled the country was actually a well-planned plot that dated back almost a year. One of the intruders had a cobbler in lucknow create 2.5-inch-deep cavities in the soles of two pairs of shoes, which were then filled with yellow smoke canisters that sent shockwaves through the nation. Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, and Neelam Singh, who were arrested while yelling slogans outside parliament, and Amol Shinde, who rappelled down from the visitors' gallery and sprayed colored smoke inside the Lok Sabha, are the four accused of crimes who were remanded to police custody for seven days on Thursday. Co-conspirator Lalit Jha, the fifth accused, was taken into custody on thursday night.

According to police, Manoranjan, a 34-year-old Mysuru engineering graduate, is the main suspect. He used his family's connections to get two visitor passes from Pratap Simha, a local lawmaker. police further stated that Manoranjan had met Neelam a year prior and had hosted the three male accused in Mysuru in 2021–2022 to "discuss social issues."

The investigator, who asked to remain anonymous, said, "He was very active on data-facebook and instagram and always motivated them to do something big like a protest at Parliament." "He informed the police that they wished to draw the Prime Minister's attention so that the government could investigate matters like poverty and inflation."

The investigation continued, "The incursion was originally scheduled for december 14, the anniversary of the 2001 parliament attack, but it was brought forward after Manoranjan received the passes early."
