The supreme court postponed all Amaravati-related litigation till April. The Bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Gupta announced that the arguments will be heard on the day set aside for non-miscellaneous business in April. The supreme court refused to suspend the High Court's earlier decision that amaravati is the state capital.
Mukul Rohatgi, a government lawyer, sought to argue that the state had full freedom to choose the location of the capital and that nothing in the ap Reorganisation Act required the state to have only one capital.
