On thursday morning, security was increased outside delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's house after aam aadmi party (AAP) ministers alleged, citing anonymous sources, that the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) is going to arrest the AAP leader today.

These allegations came after the delhi chief minister ignored the ED's third summons on Wednesday. On december 22, last year, the ED issued a third summons to cm kejriwal in connection with the suspected delhi liquor scandal, summoning him to appear before the agency on january 3.

Taking to the social media platform X, AAP leader and Delhi's Law and PWD minister, Atishi on Wednesday, said, "News coming in that ED is going to raid@ArvindKejriwal's residence tomorrow morning. arrest likely." Minutes after Atishi's post, delhi Health minister Saurabh Bharadwaj also posted on X, claiming speculations about Kejriwal's arrest by the ED.

In his response to the ED, kejriwal stated his willingness to participate with the probe but failed to attend on the scheduled day, calling the summons "illegal." kejriwal also questioned the agency for failing to reply to his previous responses when the summons was delivered to him, and he had raised several questions about the basis of the agency's probe.

The delhi cm stated in his written answer to the ED, "As a premier investigating agency, the non-disclosure and non-response approach adopted by you cannot stand the test of law, equity, or justice." Your obstinacy is comparable to acting as judge, jury, and executioner all at the same time, which is not acceptable in our law-governed society."
