Telangana State Budget 2024-25 : Congress Six Guarantees To Get Huge Allocations

SIBY JEYYA
According to reports, a major percentage of the State Budget 2024-25 would be dedicated to the execution of Congress' Six Guarantees. The state administration has mandated that all agencies submit budget proposals by january 20. The finance department has begun the process of developing the Budget 2024-25 by requesting that all ministries submit ideas online, detailing the projected cost for Six Guarantees.

To get at the expected spending, the departments have been requested to use data from welfare plan recipients who were chosen based on an annual income restriction of Rs 2 lakh in urban regions and Rs 1.5 lakh in rural areas. The congress administration has opted to use ration cards as the primary qualifying factor for beneficiary selection. During the former BRS government, ration cards were issued with the aforesaid income constraints in mind.

The congress government asked citizens to apply for these initiatives by starting the Praja Palana program on december 28, which was set to finish on Saturday. Because they will be chosen using ration cards, the number of beneficiaries for the congress guarantees will be roughly the same.

Officials were instructed to create expense estimates for the time being. When new ration cards are distributed, the supplementary budget's expenditure projections will be amended. According to official sources, finance department personnel analysed the karnataka Budget for 2023-24, in which the congress administration implemented the Five Guarantees. The karnataka government announced its budget for 2023-24, which included Rs 3.27 lakh crore for five promises.

The women and child welfare departments have been asked to submit proposals for the maha Lakshmi scheme, the agriculture department for Rythu Bharosa, the panchayat raj and rural development departments for Cheyutha pensions, the housing department for Indiramma houses, the welfare departments for BCs, SCs, STs, and Minorities for yuva Vikasam for vidya Bharosa cards, and the school education department for the establishment of international schools.
