India wins the first match of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. After a long tour in South Africa, the indian cricket team is playing at home for the first time this year. The indian team has started the New Year at home with the t20 series. The first match of this series was played today january 11 in Mohali. indian team won the match by 6 wickets. india won the toss and elected to bowl first. Accordingly, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Sadran stepped into the fray. In that way, both showed their batting well. Gurbaz and Jadran put up a perfect partnership and scored 50 runs. Unable to take the first wicket, the bowlers of the indian team were stuck until 7 overs.
Then Rahmanullah Gurbaz lost his wicket on the ball thrown by Axar Patel. He scored 28 runs off 28 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Later, shivam Dubey bowled the 8th over for the indian team. shivam Dubey took the wicket in the second ball. Accordingly, he stood in the field for 22 balls to score a total of 25 runs with 2 fours and 1 six. Next Mohammad Nabi played aggressively and scored a total of 42 runs in 27 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. In this way, the afghanistan team scored 158 runs for 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Then the indian team entered the field to win if they scored 159 runs.

Indian team captain rohit sharma made his debut in t20 international after 14 months with great expectations of fans. In that respect, Shubman Gill took the field with rohit sharma as the opener. In this, rohit sharma was run out in the second ball of the first over. rohit sharma took the wicket when Shubman Gill, who was standing on the other side, stood motionless when he ran to score a run.  
Shivam Dube who came later played aggressively. Due to this, the run rate of the indian team has increased significantly. Even though the wickets fell at the opposite end, Dube kept on fielding. No matter how hard the Afghan players tried to capture his wicket, they could not till the end. He was on the field till the end and scored 60 runs off 40 balls. It included 5 fours and 2 sixes. In the end, the indian team reached the target after losing 4 wickets at the end of 17.3 overs. indian team won by 6 wickets.
