The upcoming elections are critical for the telugu desam party (TDP), and there's speculation that a failure to secure victory could jeopardize the party's future. In this challenging political backdrop, opposition leader chandrababu naidu has data-faced successive setbacks, including the recent resignation of rayapati Ranga Rao.
The resignation trend continues as Keshineni Nani, a prominent figure who won the vijayawada Lok Sabha seat in 2019, is reportedly set to resign and join the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu congress party (YSRCP), delivering a significant blow to the tdp in krishna and guntur districts. The exodus of leaders from tdp is attributed to dissatisfaction with Chandrababu Naidu's policies and the perceived use-and-throw approach.

Critics argue that the party is experiencing an irreversible blow due to these defections. Notably, rayapati Ranga Rao's resignation made headlines when, before addressing the media, he symbolically threw a picture of chandrababu naidu on the ground, expressing his serious displeasure. Ranga Rao accused chandrababu naidu and lokesh of injustice to his family and revealed that a significant sum of 150 crores was allegedly taken from them for elections.
He claimed to possess evidence of financial transactions, alleging that lokesh and Chandrababu engaged in sub-contracts without each other's knowledge. Ranga Rao criticized Chandrababu's recent statements about the polavaram project, labeling them as blatant lies. The disgruntled leader questioned the sincerity of TDP's commitment to public welfare, portraying it as a business enterprise run for personal gain. He challenged lokesh to contest elections in Rayalaseema, emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency.
