Lost City in the Amazon Revealed.!
The settlement, estimated to have been inhabited between 500 bc and AD 300-600, was a complex network of around 6,000 houses and buildings. The laser technology also revealed the presence of agricultural fields in proximity to these settlements. The road network connecting the settlements measured approximately 20 kilometres, with widths reaching up to 33 feet. Scientists believe that this ancient city supported a population ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 people.
Antoine Dorison, one of the researchers, estimates that the city disappeared around 1,000 years ago, adding another layer to the enigmatic history of the amazon forests. This discovery underscores the hidden complexities of the natural world, reminding humanity of the vast knowledge and unexplored realms that continue to exist within the Amazon.
