Before the sankranti celebration on january 25, the telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) warned attendees on Saturday, january 13, not to fly kites near power infrastructure. The department cautioned individuals about the dangers of using metal-coated "manja" thread, which might result in electrocution and tripping the supply network.

Musharraf ali Faruqui, Chairman and Managing director of TSSPDCL, issued an official statement urging people to avoid using metal-coated'manja' since it might give an electric shock. "Use only cotton, linen, or nylon string." Never use metal thread or metal-reinforced string. "Metal-coated thread (Manja) is a good conductor of electricity and can cause electric shock if it touches or comes close to an electric line," he warned.

Furthermore, he advised people not to attempt to retrieve kites that become trapped on electrical wires or fall into substation premises. "Leave it there." "Do not touch any part of the kite or string, and keep everyone away," Faruqui instructed. He advised parents to keep a close eye on their children, saying, "Don't allow children to touch a snapped and broken conductor."

Furthermore, he requested that people report any kites or other things that become trapped in electrical wires in their respective locations to the electricity Department at 1912 or the local electricity office, or via a mobile application or online (www.tssouthernpower.com) for immediate help.
