HanuMan's box office run in the hindi belt has hinted at a very long run, which was confirmed by the film's performance on its first Tuesday. The film received a nett sum of Rs 2.5 crore on its first tuesday which is 1.25X more than its opening day hindi collection, which is Rs 2 crore nett. With this, the film has generated Rs 17.5 crore nett in the hindi belt to date, which is a respectable total for a South film with no franchise benefit or famous data-faces for the hindi audience.

The film is overshadowing the straight hindi flick Merry christmas, which stars katrina Kaif. Hanuman is currently ruling the collections rankings, with Merry christmas having garnered Rs 10.75 crore. HanuMan's basis is the strong collections recorded in the northern mass belts, which will allow the film to maintain solid tallies every day for at least three weeks. The key issue is whether Hanuman can reach the Rs 100 crore nett level. However, there is a long way to go with this.

Even before an official announcement, director Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious project, a modern retelling of the Ramayan, has generated a lot of interest. ranbir kapoor will play Lord ram in this Ramayan, with sai pallavi playing Sita and Yash, a prominent kgf performer, playing the dangerous demon king Ravana. Adding to the excitement, there are suggestions that Sunny Deol, fresh off the success of Gadar 2, may take on the role of Lord Hanuman.
