Night Swim Movie Review - A Genuine Unnerving Horror Flick

SIBY JEYYA
The idea is straightforward: a haunted pool. They do, however, devise novel methods for carrying out various sorts of scares. I'm no stranger to horror, yet I jumped at almost every jump scare attempt. I loved the most of the horror themes, eerie images, and a couple of very stunning shots. The film is receiving a lot of negative feedback. I don't quite understand why. Is this high art? No. Is it innovative or groundbreaking? Not. Could things have been better? Sure. But I had a good time seeing this scary film and found myself smiling for most of it.

This scary film focuses on a swimming pool. After the first frightening occurrence, everything felt like a stretch. It feels more like a short film, but even so, it might have been longer. The premise appears derivative, resembling previously released horror films. A supernatural entity fulfills desires but at a cost, a common cliché in horror and other film genres. The only difference here is that instead of a magical bean or demonic monster, there's a swimming pool.

They should have reduced the family-oriented scenes and explored more into the pool's eerie roots. I expected an examination of its past, with a display of people worshipping it, maybe based on Native American mythology and culture. And the monsters sucked; they resembled officers from a cop show; there might have been more interesting beings. For example, one story tells about a wicked witch who used to grant wishes but was drowned in the springs and now her soul remains there. Something. Anything!

The film exploits one's dread of what horrors may lurk beneath the surdata-face of a body of water, in this case, the swimming pool in the Waller family's backyard, which they purchased unconscious of its deadly history. It turns out that the pool may provide one's desire in exchange for a life.

As someone uncomfortable in the water, especially when I can't see the bottom, I found it to be an effectively creepy tale that makes inventive use of its commonplace location, with the film delivering plenty of atmospheres, likable performances, and a satisfying resolution, though it should be noted that the film is strictly PG, so the scares are relatively tame.

Overall, An enjoyable, unpretentious popcorn flick that doesn't deserve the hate
