Pan-India Bohni: Prabhas Third Time Lucky?

SIBY JEYYA
Three big Pan-India film releases are on the verge of being postponed, with Devara already confirmed to move from its original april 5th date. However, an official confirmation is still expected. The last two, pushpa 2 and kalki may also be postponed. NTR's Devara, which was originally scheduled for april 5th, may now be rescheduled for august 15th, while Prabhas' kalki might be delayed from its May 9th release date. Allu Arjun's pushpa 2 may be moved to the christmas weekend starting august 15th.
Speculation abounds, and if kalki is released on May 9th, prabhas will begin releasing big-budget Pan-India films for the third year in a row. Radheshyam began the trend in 2022, with Adipurush following suit in 2023. Both flicks proved to be unsatisfactory. There are expectations that prabhas will strike gold for the third time and kick off a successful pan-India telugu film slate this year.

With Devara's postponement, kalki 2898AD is set to be the first release among top-tier telugu heroes, with a solo summer debut on May 9th. The summer season is one of the most profitable times for telugu films, and tollywood should not waste it as it did last year. kalki should strive to release on May 9.
Despite probable delays for Devara, pushpa 2, and kalki, interest in these high-budget Pan-Indian films remains strong. The impact of their release date shuffles extends to other films, but the producers have promised world-class pictures that would propel indian cinema ahead. Let's hope that the makers of all the pan-Indian blockbusters clarify their release dates promptly and avoid the last-minute delays witnessed with Salaar last year.
