AYODHYA - Donations Soar, Economy Blooms.!
According to sbi Research, the construction of the ram temple and other tourism-centric activities in ayodhya could contribute to a tax collection of Rs 25,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh in the fiscal year 2024-25. The newly developed infrastructure, including hotels, airport, railway station, township, and road connectivity, has transformed Ayodhya.
The economic transformation is expected to be driven by the increasing number of devotees visiting Ayodhya. Estimates suggest that more than one lakh devotees could visit ayodhya daily for darshan, potentially reaching three lakhs per day. If each devotee spends an average of Rs 2500 per day, Ayodhya's economy could see a significant boost of Rs 25,000 crores.
The impact of religious tourism on the economy is not unique to Ayodhya. Temples like Swami Padmabha temple in Trivandrum, Shirdi's Sai baba temple, tirupati balaji temple, and vaishno devi temple receive substantial annual donations, contributing significantly to their local economies and showcasing the economic potential of religious sites in India.
