Kamal Haasan mourns Bhavatharini's death
Ulaganayagan kamal haasan was heartbroken and crushed by the loss of composer Ilaiyaraaja's daughter, Bhavatharini. She died on january 25th at a hospital in Sri Lanka. In his sympathy post, kamal haasan stated that his heart bled and that he did not know how to console his brother Ilaiyaraaja. According to reports, preparations to transport Bhavatharini's body to chennai are started.
Bhavatharini, a playback vocalist and composer, has allegedly been suffering from stage four liver cancer for several months. It was said that she travelled to sri lanka for Ayurvedic therapy. On january 26, kamal haasan took to X to share his condolence message. His post in tamil is loosely translated as, "My heart aches. I don't know how to console my beloved brother Ilaiyaraaja. I will hold his hands through this. Bhavatharini's death cannot be tolerated or accepted. Ilaiyaraaja shouldn't give up dealing with this huge loss. My heartfelt condolences to Bhavatharini's family."

Bhavatharini, a National Award-winning vocalist, died on january 25 in Sri Lanka. She was 47 years old and is survived by her husband, father Ilaiyaraaja, and brothers karthik and Yuvan shankar Raja. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer a few months ago and is currently undergoing treatment. She just travelled to sri lanka for Ayurvedic therapy. However, she died in the hospital. According to reports, her corpse would be carried back to chennai around 6 p.m. today, january 26.
