Telangana - Water Shortage Problem gets 1 Crore Special Fund
The chief minister directed authorities to undertake a thorough study to identify the villages and habitations that are experiencing a drinking water issue.
As the sarpanches' terms expire at the end of this month, he requested that the government take responsibility for the communities' drinking water supply.
Rs 1 cr special fund to each Assembly: Revanth
He instructed that Rs.1 crore be allocated to each assembly seat from the Rs 10 crore Special Development Fund for drinking water requirements.
The cm made it clear that water available in all of the state's projects and reservoirs should be used first and foremost for drinking water.
"The government will also place a special emphasis on building Self Help Groups by giving financial assistance. Women's organizations should be assigned the task of sewing uniforms for pupils at government schools, Gurukul, hostels, and the police. If necessary, the women's organisations will be supplied with training, and preparations will be made," he stated.
