The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has strongly opposed the assembly Speaker's proposal to provide the leader of the Opposition (LoP) and former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao a smaller chamber in the state legislative Assembly. On Thursday, february 8, a delegation of 39 BRS MLAs and MLCs met with Speaker Gaddam prasad Kumar to voice their views on the matter.

"Assigning such a tiny room to the leader of the Opposition is insulting. Out of respect, we delivered the LoP chamber to the Speaker, who promised a room equivalent in data-size to our leader. Even though there were only 5 congress members, we reserved the LoP room. "We have asked the Speaker for this," said former minister V Prashanth Reddy.

K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), former chief minister and leader of Opposition (LoP) in the telangana assembly, did not attend the first day of budget hearings on Thursday, february 8. kcr intends to attend the sessions on february 10, when the congress is scheduled to propose its first budget. kcr, who had a hip fracture in december during the telangana assembly elections 2023, has been recovering and has just lately begun public appearances.
