In the midst of the ongoing pre-wedding celebrations in the gujarat region for indian billionaire mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant and his fiancée radhika Merchant, the Jamnagar airport has been granted the status of an international airport for a period of ten days.

The airport has reportedly been granted international status so that it may accommodate prominent figures from around the world, such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Rihanna, Ivanka Trump, and a number of past prime ministers, for the three days of pre-wedding festivities.

From february 25 to march 5, the Jamnagar airport can handle a number of foreign aircraft, an airport official was stated by The Hindu. According to the report, the resources needed to establish a Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) facility at the airport have also been granted by the Ministries of Health, Finance, and home Affairs.

As of right now, Jamnagar serves as a defence airport with regular commercial flights. The Airports Authority of india (AAI) constructed a passenger terminal facility specifically for commercial aircraft. But according to the media site, the IAF has also granted access to the airport's critical "technical" area for Anant Ambani and radhika Merchant's pre-wedding celebration. According to the article, the official stated, "Up to three aircraft are being accommodated in the technical area at a given time."

At the same time, netizens vent out their frustration and anger as madurai airport has not been provided international Status despite several international flights are being transited everyday.
