Mahayuti bloc may announce seat-sharing formula - BJP to get 28 seats?

G GOWTHAM
Sources tell india Today that the Mahayuti coalition, which consists of the bjp, the ncp led by Ajit Pawar, and the shiv sena led by Eknath Shinde, has practically concluded a seat-sharing agreement for all 48 lok sabha seats in Maharashtra.

It is anticipated that an official announcement on this would be made today, possibly bringing the days-long discussions to an end.

As per the agreement, the shiv sena would field its candidates in 14 seats, while the bjp is expected to fight 28 seats. Five constituencies have been allotted to the Ajit Pawar-led National congress party (NCP), while one seat has been allotted to Mahadeo Jankar's Rashtriya Samaj party (RSP).

The decision on allocating a seat to the maharashtra navnirman sena (MNS) is yet to be made. If the alliance opts to allocate a seat to raj Thackeray’s party, either shiv sena or bjp will have to sacrifice one seat, according to sources.
