PM Modi on Electoral Bonds - "No System is Perfect"
The prime minister said that the ability to identify the money sources and recipients was made possible by the electoral bond system his administration implemented.
He stated that the existence of bonds is the reason a trail is accessible now and asked if any organisation could provide information on the financing sources and recipients of the polls conducted before to 2014, the year he took office.
The supreme Court's judgement, which declared the practice of anonymous fundraising unlawful and made all information pertaining to electoral bonds public, has led opposition parties to point fingers at the administration.
Large purchasers of these bonds have included several companies under criminal investigation.
Modi stated in the interview that one should not see his actions as political, adding that tamil Nadu is the country's greatest asset and that he works for the country.
PM Modi stated that if winning votes were his primary goal, he would not have done as much for the Northeast states, pointing out that over 150 of his government's ministers have travelled there, and he has personally visited the area more often than all previous prime ministers combined.
"Being a politician does not imply that all I do is work towards winning elections. He stated, "Tamil Nadu has enormous potential that should not be wasted.
He said that the votes the BJP-led national democratic alliance would receive in tamil Nadu will not be anti-DMK but rather pro-BJP, saying that the alliance unites many data-facets of society and reflects the aspirations of people.
According to him, the bjp continued to support tamil Nadu even in the absence of any municipal candidates.
Modi also commended K Annamalai, the head of the tamil Nadu bjp, adding that he is drawing in young people. The prime minister stated that they believe he might have joined the DMK if money and corruption were his driving forces.
"Viksit Bharat argues that development ought to reach every region of the nation. He stated, "I think tamil Nadu has the capacity to become the engine propelling our vision of a Viksit Bharat.
"The politicisation of the tamil language has been detrimental not only to tamil Nadu but also to the country," he stated.
