IAF Planes Emergency landing on Jammu Kashmir Expressway.!
Initiated in 2020 with an allocated budget of Rs 119 crore, the construction required for this emergency landing test has been underway. Additionally, the traffic department has issued an advisory prohibiting heavy motor vehicles (HMV) on the highway from 4 am on monday until 7 am on Tuesday.
The primary objective of the emergency landing test, as stated by the indian air Force, is to facilitate relief and rescue operations during emergencies and to enable retaliatory action if needed. district officials were notified by air Force authorities to reserve a 3.5-kilometre stretch of the expressway for this purpose.
