Devarakonda’s Rape Threat Is Regressive
Almost three weeks after the release of his most recent film, "Family Star," which is currently available for streaming on amazon Prime, sensational hero Vijay devarakonda is back in the headlines. Nevertheless, fans of other languages are now trolling the same sequence, which telugu fans viciously mocked before the movie's premiere.
Many kollywood fans caught up with the film Family Star after it was made available in telugu and Tamil. They were apparently taken aback by the scene in which devarakonda confronts Ravibabu, a goon, and threatens to rape a lady in his family if he doesn't stop. The hero's reaction in a similar tone and language is not nice to hear, say the tamil audience, even if Ravibabu's character originally forces a woman from the hero's family to come and sleep with him since her husband is unable to pay off a debt.
While others are making fun of the moment, some tamil fans are inquiring as to if the dialogue in the original version is likewise the same or whether the inventiveness was added just for the tamil translation. They are dubbing this the most retrograde sequence devarakonda has ever done, after learning that the dialogues containing the "rape threat" are also included in the telugu version.
