Hyderabad's unrelenting heat wave persisted, with Saturday's high almost reaching 45 degrees Celsius. At a searing 44.5 degrees Celsius, areas such as Chandanagar and Quthbullapur recorded the greatest maximum temperature. An increase in humidity made the
air seem considerably hotter than normal, which added to the discomfort.
According to statistics from the
india Meteorological Department, the relative humidity in the morning was 66%, which increased the effects of the heat and made it nearly intolerable for locals. The situation in the neighboring districts was no better. Record highs of 46.8 degrees Celsius were reached in Veenavanka in
karimnagar, as well as Jaina and Allipur in the
jagtial district. The
telangana State Development Planning Society forecasted that Sunday's temperatures will remain between 41 and 43 degrees Celsius, with little chance of relief.
Additionally, regions including Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Mulugu,
karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Peddapalli,
jagtial, Mancherial, Kumuram
bheem Asifabad, Narayanpet, Wanaparthy, and
jogulamba gadwal are expected to experience sweltering conditions. Jaina and Allipur in
jagtial district and Veenavanka in
karimnagar recorded temperatures, peaking at a blistering 46.8 degrees Celsius.
