Lok Sabha elections 2024 phase 3 - Things to Know
• Big fights: Union home minister amit shah of the bjp is contesting against Congress's Sonal patel in Gandhinagar. amit shah is seeking re-election after securing approximately 9 lakh votes and a vote share of 69.67 per cent in the 2019 elections.
• jyotiraditya scindia, a union minister, is running against Congressman Rao Yadavendra Singh Yadav, a contender from Guna, Madhya Pradesh. In the 2019 lok sabha elections, BJP's krishna Pal Singh Yadav secured victory with more than 6.14 lakh votes and a vote share of 52.11%.
• In an effort to keep her family's stronghold in Mainpuri, Samajwadi party MP Dimple Yadav is running against minister Jaiveer Singh of Uttar Pradesh. With more than 5.2 lakh votes and a vote share of 53.75 percent in 2019, mulayam singh yadav became victorious. Dimple Yadav, on the other hand, triumphed in the 2022 by-election with around 6.2 lakh votes and a vote share of 64.08 percent.
• This election would put the loyalties of voters in Baramati, the bastion of the Pawar family, to the test. While senior leader Sharad Pawar-led ncp (Sharadchandra Pawar) is relying on daughter supriya sule, who is running for a fourth term, Ajit Pawar's party has nominated his wife Sunetra Pawar. With more than 6.86 lakh votes and a vote share of 52.63%, supriya sule won the election in 2019.
