In light of the impending lok sabha elections, a coordination meeting between hyderabad police and district election Officers and personnel was held on friday at Sevalal Banjara Bhavan, Road No. 10, Banjara Hills. Approximately one thousand representatives from all wings and sub-inspector ranks within the municipal police attended the conference. K Sreenivasa Reddy, the City police Commissioner, went into great depth on the district Security Deployment Plan during the meeting.
Dos and don'ts were given extra attention in the final hours and on election day. Additionally, the bandobast scale for different roles was set out in detail. Additional emphasis was placed on driving limitations, cell phone use while waiting in line, poll worker responsibilities, EVM security, etc. There were also explanations of the limitations on the 200-meter line, the political parties' ability to set up booths for voting, the 100-meter line, permitting of gunmen, etc.
The commissioner asked everyone to take on the difficult duty of ensuring perfect security, ultimately aiming to create a calm environment in which the people may cast their votes. In attendance were hyderabad district Collector, Assistant DEO Anudeep Durishetty, ghmc Commissioner and district election Officer Ronald Rose.
