LS Elections 2024 - Kangana Ranaut leading from Mandi

SIBY JEYYA
In the initial rounds of counting, kangana ranaut of the bjp is ahead of Mandi versus vikramaditya Singh of the Congress. The results of the Mandi are being monitored the most intently at this hour, thanks to the biggest voter turnout in himachal pradesh and a thrilling contest between bollywood star kangana ranaut and minister vikramaditya Singh. In the last round of voting, which took place on june 1, 72% of voters in the constituency cast ballots.

Given that Kangana's family is from Sarkaghat, Mandi was an obvious choice for her political debut. Congresswoman Pratibha Singh, the sitting member, withdrew from the race in favor of her son Vikramaditya, setting up a fight between the king of Bushahr and Bollywood's Queen.

Mandi recorded a 73.6% voter participation in the lok sabha votes of 2019, however in the bypolls of 2021, the number fell to 58%. With 77.47% of the vote, Mandi's Nachan assembly section had the highest turnout on june 1. Sundernagar came next with a turnout of 75.86%. Sarkaghat, Kangana's home sector, had a poor turnout of 67.62%. The turnout for Vikramaditya's home sector in Rampur was 74.16%. An exit poll conducted by india Today-Axis My india indicates that the bjp would win all four of Himachal Pradesh's seats, including Mandi.
