Telangana - Heavy rains leave Hyderabad waterlogged

Heavy and brief rains along with strong thunderstorms battered hyderabad on thursday, leaving several areas of the city severely flooded. Rainfall caused traffic disruptions as cars made their way through the flooded roadways. Heavy rainfall was observed by residents of LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hayathnagar, Madhapur, Beeramguda, Quthbullapur, Kompally, Koti, Abids, Secunderabad, Khairtabad, Banjara Hills, Yousufguda, Ameerpet, Jubilee Hills, Serilingampally, and Madhapur.
 

The IMD-Hyderabad reports that a high temperature of 34.9 degrees Celsius—a decrease of 1.2 degrees Celsius from Wednesday—and a relative humidity of 75% were noted.
 
With a difference of 1.3 degrees Celsius from the average, this is the lowest thursday maximum temperature ever recorded across all districts.
 
It was recorded that the lowest temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius. In the meantime, all city zones were under a yellow warning on friday due to strong thunderstorms and rain on Friday.
 

Significant downpours were also reported by other parts of Telangana, such as Medchal-Malkajgiri, Bachupally, Nizampet, Sircilla, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Sangareddy, Bhongir, Vikarabad, Jangaon, Nizamabad, and Jagitial. Up to june 9, IMD has continued to issue rainfall alerts throughout the State.
 
The entire state is under a yellow alert, which warns of the possibility of thunderstorms with rain, lightning, and brisk gusts (30–40 km/h) in isolated places.
 

Districts like Adilabad, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, hyderabad, medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and jogulamba gadwal are most affected by this warning. Over the next 48 hours, Hyderabad's temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.
