3 arrested for trying to enter Parliament complex using forged Aadhaar cards
The three suspects, Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb, were taken into custody by the delhi Police on allegations of cheating and forgery. The three were waiting in queue for a security check on tuesday when CISF agents stopped and arrested them at the flap gate entrance of parliament House.
The CISF officials saw the accused's Aadhaar cards as dubious when they were handed to them. The cards were discovered to be fake after they were forwarded for additional examination.
The CISF officers turned over the three accused to the delhi Police, whereupon a FIR was filed against them under several sections of the indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 465 (forgery), 419 (cheating by personation), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 471 (using a forged document as genuine), and 468 (forgery with the intent to cheat).
The delhi Police and CRPF contingents were recently replaced by the CISF, which now oversees all aspects of security at the parliament complex.
