According to reports, Mrunal is reportedly being evaluated for the main role in kanchana 4. Every film in the lucratively popular kanchana horror-comedy series tells a different story.
However, the audience of today might not find scary comedies like kanchana appealing. These ideas seem old and disgusting, and newer films in this genre—such as Geethanjali Malli Vachindi—have performed horribly, indicating a change in viewer preferences over the last five years. Before Covid, programming such as kanchana was successful; but, consumers are now consuming top-notch horror entertainment from around the globe on OTT platforms. Thus, it is unlikely that kanchana 4 will draw in viewers at this point.
