Petrol and Diesel Prices Hike in Telangana just like Karnataka?
There are a lot of rumors that the congress administration in telangana may follow suit after the congress government in karnataka raised the price of petrol and diesel by Rs. 3 per liter. This is because the State government is looking into other ways to raise money. The karnataka congress administration has already been under heavy fire from a variety of quarters for raising the price of petrol by Rs. 3 per liter and diesel by Rs. 3.05.
According to media sources, Shehzad Poonawalla, the national spokesman for the Bharatiya Janata Party, stated that the congress party's real nature has been revealed. Additionally, he said that the fulfillment of the Congress' five assurances had rendered karnataka insolvent, prompting the government to raise the fuel state tax. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is calling on the congress administration in telangana to refrain from raising fuel prices, denouncing the karnataka government's decision to do so.
"Any efforts by the congress government to raise gasoline costs and put further burden on the public should be resisted. Dasoju Sravan, the in-charge of BRS Greater Hyderabad, stated that the congress government in telangana should lower the State tax on petrol and diesel without placing an additional financial burden on the people. The congress had previously criticized the union government over increases in fuel prices and had demanded State governments to lower the State tax (VAT) on fuel prices.
He added that passengers were already affected by the rise in TGSRTC ticket prices, which were justified by toll gate costs. Dealers of petrol and diesel are also concerned about the potential increase in gasoline costs.
