Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP), has charged that the tamil Nadu government is not being sincere in its inquiry into the July 5 hacking death of state party chairman K Armstrong. The leader of the BSP further insisted that chief minister MK Stakin turn the probe over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

When mayawati travelled to chennai on sunday to say goodbye to K Armstrong, she was accompanied by her nephew and BSP National Coordinator akash Anand. Speaking to her party members, Maywati questioned tamil Nadu's state of law and order.

Given the manner in which Armstrong has been killed, it appears that tamil Nadu has lost all law and order. The principal offenders are still not in custody," she stated.

Mayawati added, "The state government is not serious about this murder investigation otherwise the culprits would have been behind bars," accusing the DMK-led state administration of being indifferent to the murder probe. This case need to be turned over to the cbi if the state administration refuses to carry out justice."

"We call for an inquiry by the CBI. She said, "The state government is implicated in this murder as well if they do not send the matter to the CBI.

Mayawati expressed concerns about Dalit safety following Armstrong's killing.

"The killing of one Dalit leader is not the issue. Many Dalit leaders are afraid for their lives and the safety of the whole Dalit community is in jeopardy, she claimed.

Mayawati also advised the BSP cadre to refrain from enforcing the legislation. "To ensure action against the accused, the party cadre should come forward but at the same time, stay within the limits of law and show that the weaker section does not take law into their hands," she stated.

K Armstrong, 52, was fatally hacked by an unknown assailant outside his Perambur, Bangalore, residence. Four of the attackers seemed to be food delivery agents based on the CCTV video of the event.
