Prior to the tragedy, CCTV footage showing Mihir Shah leaving a pub in a Mercedes automobile with four of his buddies has surfaced. Shah was the main suspect in the tragic
bmw car disaster that occurred in Mumbai. Rajesh Shah, the Palghar-based deputy
leader of the
shiv sena under
maharashtra Chief
minister Eknath Shinde, is the
father of Mihir Shah.
The video emerged as authorities searched for 24-year-old Mihir Shah, who has fled after his
bmw automobile crashed into a couple riding a scooter in Worli on
sunday, killing the woman, 45, who was riding pillion with her husband. The
police believe that Mihir Shah, who stopped going to
school after finishing Class 10, was intoxicated at the time.
• Around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Mihir Shah and his pals had a
party at the Voice Global Tapas Bar in Juhu. According to
karan Shah, the proprietor of the bar, he had a
red Bull energy drink in the pub. He mentioned that Mihir's buddies drank alcohol and that there was no lady in the group.
• The proprietor of the bar said that none of the
party was intoxicated and that Mihir Shah's bill, which was paid by his companion, was Rs 18,730. He further mentioned that Mihir Shah was able to enter the pub by showing his identity card. At 1:40 am, he said, they paid the bill and drove off in the Mercedes.
• A few hours later, on
sunday at 5:25 a.m., Mihir Shah is accused of crashing his
bmw into a scooter, killing 45-year-old
kaveri and seriously injuring her husband, 50-year-old fisherman Pradip Nakhwa. Later on, the
bmw was discovered abandoned in the Bandra
east neighbourhood of Kala Nagar. A moment later, a forensic team showed up and examined the BMW.
• The
police claim that Mihir Shah fled in an autorickshaw from Bandra, leaving his vehicle behind. Following the accident, Rajrishi Bidawat also travelled to Borivali in an autorickshaw. According to preliminary investigation, Mihir Shah visited his girlfriend's
home before vanishing. She had been questioned by the authorities about providing the accused with sanctuary.
• Under several sections of the new
criminal code, Bharatiya Nyaya Sahita, a case was filed against Mihir Shah. These sections include 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 281 (rash and negligent driving endangering human life), 125-B (endangering life and personal safety), 238, and 324(4) (committing mischief amounting to cause loss and damage).
