Those who profited from Rythu Bandhu (now Rythu Bharosa) under the BRS administration are facing harsh consequences from the telangana government. Notifications have been sent to individuals who transformed their property for non-agricultural uses but were still receiving financial benefits in the lakhs annually from Rythu Bandhu.
Yadagiri Reddy, a resident of Pocharam village in Ghatkesar mandal in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, got notices requesting that he reimburse Rs 16 lakh for 33 acres of his property on which he has undertaken projects. This repayment is part of the Rythu Bandhu plan. As stated, the state administration has begun implementing measures to recoup the easy money that several individuals earned by utilizing their non-agricultural property to obtain advantages under the Rythu Bandhu scheme.
During the assembly elections, the congress had promised several projects, including Rythu Bharosa. Farmers would receive cash support under the plan of Rs 15,000 per acre annually. The current Rythu Bandhu program, which was put in place by the last Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) administration and paid farmers Rs 10,000 per acre, would be replaced by this new program. The Sub-Committee's effort, according to Finance minister Vikramarka, is intended to gather proposals for drafting measures so that the benefits reach the qualified farmers.
