Telangana Hyderabad - AIMIM opposes Old City power handover to Adani
"Our party opposes the power sector's privatization, specifically the GENCO, TRANSCO, and other discoms, to hand adani Power the power bill in Hyderabad's Old City and so-called power projects," he said in the Assembly.
Majid Hussain went on to say that the congress administration ought to allocate funds to carry out the party's campaign commitments, including the six guarantees.
Following the chief minister's remarks to the media, the people of hyderabad retaliated, beating and calling electrical staff "the men of adani Group."
As a trial project, the chief minister proposed giving the gautam Adani-led company control over the Old City district.
He justified the judgment mentioned above by pointing to customer nonpayment of bills and attacks on power personnel who attempted to recover overdue payments. Reddy went on to say that the adani Group will be given control over electricity distribution in hyderabad and eventually the whole state following the completion of the Old City pilot project.
According to Revanth, discussions on the issue were made with the adani Group, and all sides were able to come to a consensus.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders responded sharply to the disclosure, challenging the congress party's stance on the gautam Adani-led adani Group.
Congress MP rahul gandhi was referred to as a “hypocrite” by BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank, who cited a telugu media story.
