Pakistan Fails to Learn from History!!
On July 26, 2024, prime minister Narendra Modi commemorated the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas at the Kargil war Memorial, reflecting on India’s historic victory over pakistan in 1999. Addressing a gathering of soldiers and officials, PM Modi remarked on Pakistan’s failure to learn from past mistakes, emphasizing that its repeated misadventures have only led to defeat. The prime minister paid homage to the indian soldiers whose bravery and sacrifice during Operation Vijay are eternally etched in the nation’s memory.
The Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the successful conclusion of Operation Vijay, a nearly three-month-long battle fought on the rugged terrains of Kargil in Ladakh. The day is dedicated to honoring the valor of the indian Army and celebrating the strategic victory that restored peace and security in the region.
In a significant development alongside the commemorations, PM Modi also performed the "first blast" to commence the construction of the Shinkun La tunnel. This new infrastructure project promises to revolutionize connectivity by linking himachal pradesh with Ladakh through an all-weather route. The tunnel’s construction, which was inaugurated remotely from Ladakh’s Drass, aims to enhance transportation and strategic mobility in the region, further strengthening India’s presence in the high-altitude terrain.
The dual events of remembering past heroism and advancing future infrastructure underscore India’s commitment to both honoring its history and investing in its future.
