Bengaluru - Tension at railway station over consignment of meat
Cow vigilante Puneeth Kerehalli, who was previously imprisoned on a murder allegation, insisted that it was dog meat. Abdul Razzaq, the meat vendor who had placed the order, refuted the accusation.
He maintained that the cargo was lawfully ordered and that the meat within was sheep, not dog.
He said that Kerehalli was making up accusations in order to gain financial gain.
Many people congregated there as a result of the disturbance, and when they saw the circumstances, police arrived.
A report regarding the strange meat shipment had already been received by the officers of the food authority. Officers from the FSSAI were sent to the train station to gather samples for analysis.
Unverified reports have suggested that the meat could be dog meat, but no formal confirmation has been made.
