SFI's question - Are we moving in the right direction?

While congratulating all the countrymen on Independence Day, State President of Student Federation of india Anil Thakur also puts forth his views on the serious problems of the country. Anil Thakur says that on 15 august 1947, our country achieved independence after many years of slavery. But the question is that the freedom for which our ancestors fought. Are we moving in the right direction or not. The coming time is going to be full of challenges for the country. After 77 years of independence, have we been able to reach the point where the nation can be called a developed nation.

Focus on the need for development of every section

Anil Thakur says that we cannot ignore the fact that india ranks 111th out of a total of 125 countries in the Global Hunger Index-2023. This reflects the serious situation of India. Apart from this, dwarfism in children is 35.5% and the prevalence of under-nutrition in india is 16.6%. All these are serious problems for the nation and it is necessary to solve them from the root. Anil Thakur says that there was a time after independence when the people of the country were not educated.

But, even at that time, the country improved its economic condition and brought it back on track. In today's time, there are very few people who are not educated. But, people are not even aware of their rights. Therefore, we need to discuss all these issues. To make a nation developed, it needs to develop economically as well as socially, politically and culturally.
