Pune Porsche crash - 2 Arrested for Swapping the Blood Samples
Two additional persons have been taken into custody by pune Police's Crime Branch for allegedly exchanging the juvenile accused's friends' blood samples in the porsche vehicle collision case. The two were taken into custody late on monday night, bringing the total number of people involved in the investigation to nine.
According to a police investigation, two individuals at the state-run Sassoon Hospital exchanged blood samples with the accused's pals, who were both juveniles and in the car at the time of the collision. The accused's friend's father was one of them, according to Commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar. The inquiry has shown that the accused's blood sample was also substituted with his mother's when he was brought to Sassoon Hospital for a medical checkup following the accident.
Aneesh Awadhiya, an IT engineer, and his buddy Ashwini koshta perished on May 19 at Pune's kalyani Nagar intersection after their motorcycle was struck by a speeding porsche driven by a 17-year-old teenager who was apparently intoxicated.
The Juvenile Justice Board released the accused on mild terms, which led to a national outcry over the occurrence.
The child's mother's blood sample was purportedly switched with the minor's, leading to the arrest of the boy's parents, physicians Shrihari Halnor and ajay Taware, who was in charge of Sasoon's forensic medicine division at the time.
