Amit Shah says naxalism will be eliminated by 2026
At a news conference in Raipur, amit shah declared, "I think that our fight has reached the end phase and by march 2026, we will be able to free the country completely from naxalism."
Following his meetings in chhattisgarh, where he reviewed the level of interstate cooperation, the Left Wing Extremism scenario, and the security and development conditions in Left Wing Extremism-affected districts of the state, amit shah made his observations.
According to him, the purpose of the meeting in chhattisgarh was to devise strategies for addressing the problem, including removing obstacles encountered during infrastructure projects and fully implementing central and state government schemes in naxal-affected areas.
Amit Shah stated that since the bjp took office in december of last year, 126 Naxals have been slain till august of 2024.
"We've made great progress. Less than 100 people lost their lives in 2022. It had never happened before. The top 14 leaders of the Naxals have been taken out. We have been successful in instilling people's trust," he declared.
According to him, between 2019 and 2024, Bihar, Jharkhand, and maharashtra (to a certain extent) lost their designation as Naxal-affected states.
