Mumbai was the place of genelia D'Souza's birth on august 5, 1987. She is from a Catholic household in Mangalore. Her father, Neil D'Souza, is a senior executive at Tata Consultancy Services, and her mother, Jeanette D'Souza, was a managing director of the Pharma Multinational Corporation. Nigel D'Souza, her younger brother, is employed with the bombay Stock Exchange.
Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh's love story is as distinctive as the plot of a bollywood movie. When genelia D'Souza first started working in movies, she fell in love with riteish deshmukh, the main character. "Tujhe Meri Kasam," the now-married couple's breakthrough film, was an enormous blockbuster at the box office.
Throughout the "Tujhe Meri Kasam" filming, the pair became rather close to one another. riteish deshmukh once narrated his love tale, saying that he met genelia D'Souza at the airport in hyderabad as they were both heading off to shoot their debut movie.
According to riteish deshmukh, they were married in 2012 by both Christian and Hindu customs, following a ten-year courtship. Since their first encounter, genelia D'Souza had admired Riteish Deshmukh; nonetheless, she was concerned that Riteish, who comes from a political family, would be quite conceited. Riteish had mentioned that genelia had assumed he would be conceited or smug since he was the Chief Minister's son. Riteish Deshmukh and genelia D'Souza were allegedly ready to tie the knot, but Vilasrao Deshmukh, the actor's father and the then-chief minister of Maharashtra, disagreed. Nevertheless, everything turned out well since in february 2012, the pair tied the knot.
November 2014 saw the birth of their first child, a son named Riaan, and june 2016 saw the birth of their second son, Rahyl.
